As the University’s largest fundraiser, Charter Day weekend generates hundreds of thousands of dollars for student scholarships, helping to clear remaining balances and remove additional financial barriers that could prevent students from graduating.

Howard University’s announcement that the cost of tuition will not increase next year reflects its commitment to its students. But it comes with a challenge to donors to build on their support.

Howard University enters the New Year with a powerful bang! Donations to the Challenge topped more than $500,000, thanks to generous alumni and supporters who recognize the institution’s value.

Celebrate the Howard University Golden Reunion, May 7–10! This proud tradition celebrates the Classes of 1976, 1971, 1966 and 1961, allowing alumni to reminisce and rekindle valuable relationships.

Bisa Butler is a gifted visual artist, known for her captivating portraits made from quilted fabrics that tell the stories of Black culture and history, working primarily from source images to create thought-provoking art.

Maya-Camille Broussard, chef and owner of Justice of the Pies, has made the Chicago-based bakery the cornerstone of an empire that, at heart, is about helping people in various ways.

Launching their “20 for 20” campaign, the 137 Privy line of Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. set an example of unrestricted giving through a bold and ambitious goal of $20,000 to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. They surpassed the goal, raising $23,814 in unrestricted funds to Howard.

With $400,000 raised this GivingTuesday, donors showed their desire for Howard’s success. Alumni and supporters can finish 2025 with tax-deductible donations to the Impact Howard Year-End Challenge, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar for double the value.

Howard’s convincing 44–15 win over the Norfolk State University Spartans at Audi Field brought them to a 2–3 record in the MEAC conference and a 5–7 finish overall.

Donor-advised funds offer a unique way to support the University, allowing donors to contribute to various charities during their lifetime and beyond. There are several benefits, including tax advantages and flexible charitable giving.
