Keynote speaker Sherrilyn Ifill headlined the 158th Opening Convocation in Cramton Auditorium. As founding director of the 14th Amendment Center for Law & Democracy at the School of Law, Ifill highlighted challenges of citizenship, equal protection and due process.

International Black Writers Festival returns

Bigger than before, the IBWF extended over three days! With the theme “The Story of Us,” the event exalted Black literature and storytelling with panel discussions, performances, readings and a book fair on The Yard.

The seventh annual HUes of Blue fundraiser for the Jamaican Howard University Affinity Network is underway. JHUAN raised $107,000 for 26 HU students of Jamaican heritage, and they were recognized at a reception last month. Give today through December 31 to support the $250,000 goal:
