Kiera Thomas (’14, B.A. cum laude) is vice president and co-founder of Hoop for All, a nonprofit organization that uses sports and athletics to connect communities with access to health care resources such as health professionals, health educational materials, testing and inpatient assistance.

Sade Falana, M.S., CCC-SLP (’11, B.S. cum laude; ’13, M.S.), is a highly skilled clinician who is trained in working with patients in several intensive care units – medical surgical, cardiovascular, neuroscience and neonatal. She is competent in MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Studies) and FEES (Fiber Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing), studies speech language pathologists use to assess a patient’s ability to swallow.

Rev. Alexis Faith Brown (’06, B.A.), pastor of McKendree-Simms-Brookland United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C., grew up in Baltimore surrounded by Bison Pride. In 2022, Brown became the first woman and Black woman senior pastor at McKendree-Simms-Brookland United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C.
