Bio

Dr. Vikki Walton, Howard University School of Business Class of 1990, brings a powerful combination of business expertise, leadership experience, and proven HUAA service to the role of Vice President of Administration. She currently serves as Region IV Chair, representing alumni clubs across the Midwest and Eastern Canada. During her tenure, she led the region’s expansion beyond the United States by helping charter the HUAA of Eastern Canada, establishing Region IV’s first international club while also helping reactivate inactive clubs and strengthen regional engagement.

Her leadership has focused on operational excellence and advancing HUAA’s core pillars of Philanthropy, Service, and Engagement. Under her guidance, Region IV clubs strengthened collaboration, expanded programming, and increased alumni participation. In recognition of her leadership and impact, Dr. Walton was honored as HUAA Region Chair of the Year, awarded in 2025.

Dr. Walton’s HUAA experience spans every level of the organization. She served two terms as President of the Howard University Alumni Club of Northwest Indiana, two years as a Region Representative, and two years as a Constituent Unit President leader on the HUAA Executive Committee. She currently serves as Region IV Chair, a role she has held for two years. This breadth of experience provides a deep understanding of HUAA governance and operations, as well as the needs of clubs and alumni leaders across the country.

Professionally, Dr. Walton is a senior leader at a global consulting firm where she leads complex national initiatives across healthcare, public policy, strategy, and organizational performance. With more than two decades of experience leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-level initiatives, she brings the strategic discipline and operational focus required for the Vice President of Administration role.

Dr. Walton holds a Doctor of Business Administration and an MBA. Her commitment to service extends beyond HUAA. She serves as Board Chair for the American Red Cross in Northwest Indiana and holds leadership roles with the Urban League. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, where she serves on numerous committees. As the parent of a Howard legacy alumna, she remains deeply committed to Howard University and the continued strength of the HUAA community.

Her candidacy reflects a commitment to strengthening HUAA’s internal operations, supporting alumni leaders, and ensuring the association continues to operate with excellence in service to Howard University and the global Bison community.
