Sade Falana, M.S., CCC-SLP (’11, CHSOC; ’13, HUGS), is a highly skilled clinician who is trained in working with patients in several intensive care units – medical surgical, cardiovascular, neuroscience and neonatal. She is competent in MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Studies) and FEES (Fiber Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing), studies speech language pathologists use to assess a patient’s ability to swallow.

Kiera Thomas (SOC ’14) is vice president and co-founder of Hoop for All, a nonprofit organization that uses sports and athletics to connect communities with access to health care resources such as health professionals, health educational materials, testing and inpatient assistance. The Howard University alumna who majored in strategic communications founded the organization along with classmate and Howard alumnus Ayo Amoo (HUSB ’14) in 2017.
