Degree Earned: Bachelor of Science | Year Awarded: 2003
Current HUAA Role: HUAA Region I Chair
With over 27 years of leadership experience and more than 28 years in healthcare, I have built a career grounded in strategic governance, operational leadership, and service-driven impact. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in 2003 and later completed a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Healthcare Administration in 2017. I currently serve in senior healthcare leadership and strategic consulting capacities, where I influence executive decision-making, lead implementation initiatives, and drive organizational performance and systems improvement. In addition, I serve as an adjunct professor in ophthalmology, mentoring and preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
My service within the Howard University Alumni Association reflects a sustained commitment to alumni leadership and governance. I have served as HUAC-GNYC President for four years, CUPS Leader for two years, and Region 1 Chair for two years. In each role, I have prioritized strategic alignment, accountability, and measurable impact to strengthen our regional effectiveness.
I lead with empathy, discernment, and strategic clarity, fostering an inclusive and performance driven regional culture. Through initiatives I have pioneered, more than $100,000 in scholarship funding to support HUAC-GNYC, HUAC-CNNJ, and HUAC-Ghana. I bring a disciplined focus on execution, collaboration, and sustainable growth.
As I seek a second term as Region 1 Chair, I am committed not only to expanding alumni engagement and strengthening regional cohesion, but also to ensuring the continued legacy, success, and long-term sustainability of Howard University and the Howard University Alumni Association. I will continue to lead with integrity, vision, and purpose, advancing our mission while preserving the values of Truth and Service for generations to come.
