Bio

Lisa M. Robinson is a devoted alumna and seasoned educator whose service reflects her enduring commitment to Truth and Service. With over 26 years of experience in education and leadership, she brings vision, heart, and results to every role she serves.

As National Scholarship Committee Chair for HUAA, Lisa has been a driving force behind the Emergency Scholarship Fund and the Micro Scholarship initiatives—programs that have made graduation possible for hundreds of Howard students facing financial barriers. Under her leadership, the Emergency Scholarship Fund provided more than $743,000 in direct and vital support to 301 members of the Class of 2024, and $249,000 for 237 members of the 2025 Class, defraying costs or clearing outstanding balances to walk at commencement. 

Lisa played a key role in establishing the inaugural Brenda Lawson Scholars, expanding HUAA’s scholarship portfolio and honoring the legacy of service and alumni support. Answering the call to eager students, she is an exemplar of HUAA’s ability to “bridge the gap” for students in need.

In addition to her national roles, Lisa has been a visible and active presence in the Howard community—serving on the HUAA leadership team, supporting signature events such as the Freshman Pinning Ceremony and the Homecoming Alumni Tent, contributing locally as a long-time member of the HUAC Greater Washington, D.C. Club, and mentoring education pre-service students in the Howard University School of Education (HUSOE). 

Beyond her alumni commitments, Lisa is the Founder and President of LMR Education Consultants, providing professional development for childcare programs and K-12 schools, and serves her community as a board president, volunteer with We Feed Our People, a cleanup volunteer for the Anacostia River, and a greeter at Alfred Street Baptist Church.

Her leadership and advocacy for student success exemplify the very best of Howard University’s spirit and mission.
