Reunion Giving by Class Year

One of Howard University’s most cherished alumni traditions is the class reunion gift. At least every five years, classes engage in comprehensive fundraising campaigns to inspire high levels of class participation and to secure leadership contributions in support of Howard’s current priorities. Reunion efforts involve large gift committees and rely on dedicated volunteer leadership.

Reunion year giving is a year-long fundraising campaign that takes place leading up to your reunion celebration each year. Class Reunion Weekend is a special time to reflect on your years as a student and celebrate your Bison experience. Join your classmates and be a part of this tradition of loyalty by making a gift in your milestone year.

This is an excellent opportunity to support Howard University in a way that is personally meaningful to you. Your gift can be designated to the student aid campaign, your school or college, centers and programs, athletics, or the area of greatest need. Multi-year pledges offer steady support for the University and the entire pledge amount counts towards your class goals.

However you choose to participate in Class Reunion Weekend this year, thank you for your involvement, support and taking time to consider your gift to the University in honor of your reunion.

2017 Alumni Luncheon Snapshots

Each year the Alumni Luncheon is an opportunity to bring together alumni from across the generations to share in a celebratory luncheon about the joy of being a Howard graduate and the pride of longevity and legacy. Over 330 alumni had lunch together this year. The program was hosted by alumna Molette Green '91, NBC4 Washington Broadcast Journalist and WHUR FM News Reporter. Reunion classes ending in 2's and 7's across the decades enjoyed a champagne reception and a lively lunch program.
