The Yard at Afrotech U: Celebrating HBCU Culture, Alumni, and Tech Contributions

“The Yard at Afrotech U” is a first of its kind activation and Afrotech Conference stage in the exhibition hall. It was created to celebrate HBCU resilience and unity and provide a convening and networking space for HBCU alums, affiliates, supporters, and enthusiasts at the conference. The space is named after Howard University’s iconic “Yard” and is the result of a partnership between Howard University and Blavity/Afrotech.

Programming for students and early career tech professionals will take place throughout November 14th and 15th and will include a panel discussion by Howard alum and leaders, a resume workshop and sessions about product development and how to achieve success in the tech sector. See Afrotech’s schedule and filter by “Afrotech U Stage” location for 11/14 and 11/15 to see the full programming schedule.
