Howard University students will benefit from the record $1.3 million raised at Charter Day Dinner 2025. The funds are used to clear the balances of graduating seniors.

“Showtime” Marching Band performs at 2025 HBCU to the Pros Night

The “Showtime” Marching Band traveled to perform in Portland, Oregon, for the HBCU to the Pros Weekend from Feb. 21–Feb. 23. The event included a Jordan Brand Experience at the Nike headquarters and performances for community members who also learned more about Howard.

Track and field dominate inaugural meet and MEAC

In the HBCU Indoor Championships in Louisville, Kentucky, the men’s and women’s teams earned 10 and 11 first-place finishes, respectively, in March. At MEAC, the women earned their fourth-consecutive Indoor Championship title in Virginia Beach, while the men won their fourth-consecutive indoor runner-up trophy.

Swimming and track team wins championship

Our men’s team are 2025 Northeast Conference Champions for the second time in three years. Howard also won Coaching Staff of the Year and Diving Coach of the Year (Courtenay Miller). The women earned second place and Most Outstanding Swimmer (Zuilda Nwaeze).

Congratulations: Bison leave imprint on MEAC and WNIT

Our basketball teams played commendably during the national championships in Norfolk. The men opened in quarterfinals, and our women advanced to the title game against Norfolk State University, earning a spot in the Women’s National Invitational Tournament (WNIT). The Lady Bison advanced to round two before falling to College of Charleston.
