Deserving alumni should demonstrate strong alignment with HUAA’s three pillars—Engagement, Philanthropy, and Service—while exemplifying excellence across the core tenets of Bison E.N.G.A.G.E. This includes active participation in alumni and community initiatives, the ability to build meaningful and impactful networks, contributions of time, talent, and financial support, advocacy for expanded access to opportunities for underrepresented communities, leadership in mobilizing collective action in support of the University, and a sustained record of professional or academic excellence that reflects positively on Howard University.
