Classes prepare for Howard’s Golden Reunion
Celebrate a defining milestone at Howard University’s Golden Reunion Weekend, May 7–10, as we welcome distinguished alumni back to the Yard for an inspiring tribute to legacy, achievement, and enduring connection. This cherished tradition honors the Classes of 1976, 1971, 1966, and 1961 — uniting generations of Bison to reflect on their Howard experience, rekindle lifelong friendships and celebrate bonds strengthened across the decades.
The weekend centerpiece will be a historic tribute to the Class of 1976, who will take part in Commencement wearing commemorative regalia in recognition of 50 years of leadership, impact and service. Their march stands as a powerful testament to the truth that once you attend Howard, you are Howard — always.
Golden Reunion Weekend is thoughtfully designed to foster fellowship, philanthropy, reflection and celebration. Reunion registration includes a commemorative cap and gown for Commencement, an official 50th Reunion medallion, and a keepsake class journal to capture memories, reflections and messages — preserving your shared story for generations to come. To be recognized on the honor roll, please consider making your class gift by April 1.
Alumni are encouraged to register early and RSVP by April 17 to secure participation. Hotel accommodations should also be reserved promptly, as the early-registration discount concludes April 9, and attendance is expected to be strong.
To register and contribute to class fundraising efforts, please visit the Alumni Relations Reunions portal and GiveCampus.
