🎶 You’re Invited: An Evening of Music, Meaning & Celebration

The Chadwick A Bozeman College of Fine Arts is thrilled to invite you to a powerful evening of artistry, reflection, and community. Join us in celebrating the release of Our Song, Our Story — the soul-stirring new album by Professor Damien Sneed, produced by Platoon and featuring the exceptional talents of Howard University’s own Jacqueline Echols McCarley and Justin Austin.

But the celebration doesn’t stop at the music. We’ll also hear from Dr. Khalid Y. Long, Associate Dean of Research and Creative Endeavors, as he presents:
"Commentary: The Role of Black Music" — a moving reflection on the power, purpose, and legacy of Black musical expression.

And of course, we’ll toast to this moment with a reception following the program.

📅 Friday, April 18 🕕 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 The Oliver (Lower Level)
2715 Georgia Avenue NW
Washington, DC

Come celebrate this extraordinary release with us — we’d be honored to have you in the room.
