With $400,000 raised this GivingTuesday , donors showed their desire for Howard to succeed.

GivingTuesday is the annual day of worldwide generosity, which falls on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, this year on December 2. Donations to Howard’s GivingTuesday campaign benefit our stellar students and world-class researchers, and help finance upgrades to our infrastructure. You may continue to contribute, here: GivingTuesday Challenge

Better still, the $194,344.63 tally from 515 gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling the total to $388,689.26.

Alumni and supporters can make a strong finish to 2025 with donations to the Impact Howard Year-End Challenge . Each gift is tax-deductible and will be matched dollar-for-dollar for double the value, up to $500,000 for the campaign.

Donations to the Impact Howard Year-End Challenge give a boost to the University’s outstanding students. Up to 40% of the student body receives federal Pell Grants, reflecting their financial need.

Completing their studies and continuing to graduation is essential for them to fulfill their academic potential and be changemakers in the world.

With the Impact Howard Funds, you can direct where you wish to place your donation: to student scholarships or international student aid; to a specific academic unit; to the support of groundbreaking research that improves lives. Please donate here: Impact Howard Year-End Challenge 2025

Also, consider joining the Legacy Giving Society, an avenue to support Howard in the future. A legacy gift is realized after the donor’s lifetime, in the form of beneficiary designations from life insurance or retirement assets, or a bequest from an estate. These are some of the biggest gifts provided to a charity, with the typical gift being as much as 200 times the annual gift from a donor. In 2024, Howard University received more than $2.4 million in legacy gifts.

You can make a difference for Bison today and future Bison tomorrow with your gift. To learn more about the Legacy Giving Society , please contact Planned Giving.
